Workshop objective
Categorizing your company’s protection needs against IT threads and taking appropriate measures to safeguard against risks is key to ensuring the functionality of processes and IT infrastructure and thus the continued existence of the company.
But how can the benefits of IT risk improvements also become financially profitable for companies?
What are the challenges for networks in the next decade?
Discuss with our experts how to decide and setup a cost-efficient path with Software Defined Networks (SDN) fabric towards a structured and legal compliant company wide network and security architecture.
Workshop content
- What is the goal?
Networks are often historically merged and have become increasingly complex to manage as a result of acquisitions.
How can large investments worth millions in IT security threats be made sustainably and profitably at the same time?
This is the central question currently occupying all investors and network operators.
- What challenges must be overcome?
Companies that belong to the critical infrastructure must ensure the functionality of their infrastructure and can achieve this, for example, by introducing a combination of state-of-the-art security paradigms such as zone architecture, secondly micro-segmentation and thirdly zero trust in the network. However, the introduction of state-of-the-art protection requires often considerable effort for the restructuring of the network and possibly also organizational changes, which at first glance do not provide direct payback.
- How can this be done?
Virtualising your entire network by introducing an SDN switching fabric enables customers to remove location/site boundaries towards a single and flexible company wide network and data centre. This makes it possible to combine the synergies of several large IT programs, such as accelerating product launches and reducing operating costs when providing services to customers.
