The 13th and 14th of August, we held our Di²-Ambassador Days at Schloss Reinhartshausen. The mission of this year’s event was to publish a White Paper about Digital Transformation which will be published by the end of September here – on our website.

In this regard, workshops and discussions were taking place around the two parts of the paper:

Part one of the dicussions were about applied digitalization: How will our work-life change? Are digital meetings, online conferences, and even digital fairs in the future further replacing human contact? Will digital education become a major part of schools and universities and how will this look? What will leisure time and socializing be like in the future? Will sports turn more and more into Esports? Are we ready to secure all processes and to address major cybersecurity concerns on the way to more digitalization?

The second part of the discussions was mainly about demand and supply side effects of these developments on digital infrastructure and bandwidth as well as changes in the market structure. Here, we got an insight into most recent COVID-19 reserach concerning the topic.

Additionally, Huawei offered us a virtual visit at the MCW-2020 exhibition booth with a very interesting guided tour to the topics “5G Empowers Wireless Fiber” and “AI Enabling Intelligent Operations”.

Besides the workshops and discussion rounds, Schloss Reinhartshausen gave us a tour through the vinyard including a wine tasting to make sure that networking and socializing is not coming short.
