DESCRIPTION:Objective:\nBy the end of 2025, more than 50 % of German households can get a fibre connection (homes passed). The addressable market of fibre deployment as quantified by the Potenzialanalyse is about 82 % of all households. Due to fluctuating costs, the addressable market may change over time. The workshop will discuss future fibre deployment.\n \nContent of the Session:\n\nDiscuss input and outcome of the so called Potenzialanalyse published by the Federal Government\nDiscuss relationship between private financed fibre deployment and state aid\nDiscuss pattern of fibre deployment of various stakeholders\n\nHost:\nProf. Dr. Bernd Sörries absolvierte ein verwaltungswissenschaftliches Studium an der Universität Konstanz und der Universität Göteborg (Schweden). Er hat an der Universität Konstanz promoviert und ist Honorarprofessor an der Fachhochschule Südwestfalen. Bei der E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH war Prof. Dr. Sörries von 1998 bis 2010 tätig. In diesen 12 Jahren hatte er Führungspositionen in den Bereichen Unternehmensentwicklung, Regulierung und Corporate Affairs. Von 2010 bis 2013 folgte die Tätigkeit als Geschäftsführer der Forschungsstelle für Mobiles Breitband am ITM der Universität Münster, die er aufgebaut hat, und die seit 2014 fortdauernde Lehrtätigkeit an der Fachhochschule Südwestfalen. Hier standen neben betriebswirtschaftlichen Fragen auch rechtliche Aspekte der IT und Telekommunikation im Fokus. Im Breitbandkompetenzzentrum NRW (BBCC.NRW) hat er sich in den Jahren 2014-2015 intensiv mit dem Breitbandausbau befasst. Hinzu kam seine selbständige Tätigkeit als Unternehmensberater. Hierbei hat er Projekte im Energie- und Telekommunikationsmarkt durchgefügt. Er ist Mitglied im Ausschuss für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie des DIHK. Ab 2009 war er lange Zeit der Vorsitzende des Ausschusses.\n
